A non-invasive, no-needles, pain-free aesthetic treatment that’s 100% effective in helping skin look younger and firmer, with less wrinkles? Mesoboost sounds like it works miracles, but really, it’s the latest in cutting-edge skincare (without any need to go under the knife).
As we get older, our skin ages with us, displaying more fine lines and wrinkles, losing elasticity, and appearing more dull and even a bit loose on our facial bones. While there’s nothing we can do to stop the passage of time (not yet, anyway – come on, science fiction, get those time machines sorted already), there are skincare products, treatments, and techniques we can utilise to help prevent further damage, and to rejuvenate and refresh our skin.
Mesotherapy is a needle-free, non-invasive treatment which uses electroporation transdermal microchip technology – essentially, it has a head with microcrystals – to give the results of microneedling treatment without pain or downtime. Boosted by two Germaine de Capuccini products tailored to your skin (either Expert Lab Rejuvenating Complex or Expert Lab Lift Complex), the mesotherapy device, called Mesoboost, creates reversible micro-channels in your skin, which allows the active ingredients in the products to penetrate deeply into the dermis of your skin where they’re most effective.
Mesoboost is an ideal preventative technique, but where it really shines is in skin that’s ageing, helping to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, restore volume, and hydrate for skin that is plumper, firmer, and younger looking. It’s also an excellent option for correcting skin pigmentation. In Germaine de Capuccini’s product tests, three treatments was all it took for volunteers to see a 100% improvement in their skin.
Mesoboost uses Expert Lab Rejuvenating Complex and Lift Complex, which are both formulated with a patented HLG nanopolymer (hyaluronic acid, lysine, and glutamic acid) to act on the epidermis (outer layer) and dermis (second layer) of the skin. The epidermis protects your body from infections, dehydration, and injury, and is where skin cells are renewed. The dermis provides elasticity, firmness, and strength to your skin, and contains capillaries which bring nutrients to your skin – which is why Mesoboost, which penetrates to this deeper layer, can be so effective.
It’s best to undertake Mesoboost treatments as a course rather than a one-off, depending on the condition of your skin and what your goals are – whether you’re keen to prevent further signs of ageing, treat fine lines and wrinkles, restore volume and hydration, tighten and firm, or increase suppleness and volume. Your beauty therapist can advise you what is best for you.
At Gaia Day Spa, a Mesoboost treatment starts with cleansing and exfoliating before the device is introduced along with the Expert Lab Complex product that suits your skin. Following the treatment, we’ll apply a soothing cream and a dermoprotective fluid to encourage your skin to recover. It’s pain-free and you can return to your regular day straightaway, without any down time. Although we would never tell if you want to take the rest of the day off to “recover”!
Mesoboost is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, but talk to your beauty therapist if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding and we can recommend some safe skincare products for you to use. It’s also not suitable for people who take aspirin regularly.
